A little intro about me and what has possessed me to do this:

Hey I'm Lindsey!
So today begins my low- carb journey with the destination of a 125 lb. body in a stunning beach wedding dress. I'm getting married in Hawaii this August. Sunset, ocean, honeymoon...and tons of hot chick competition!

So, it's on...

I went on South Beach a few years ago. I weighed 165 lbs, started phase 1, and by the end of the first phase, I was 153 lbs. Well, that was in high school. I got discouraged when I got about 145 lbs and gave up.

I started South Beach again in 2007. I was about 150. I started in April and by July, I was 123 lbs. It was awesome.

So the pictures prove that this diet/way of life DOES work. I started for the second time  in the early spring of 2007 and looked like the pictures above by the end of the summer! I'm not saying I was skinny, but I was a lot better than the end of my senior year of high school! I was in Washington D.C. on my senior trip when those pictures were taken. We were eating a lot of unhealthy food, obviously. I was tired of being bigger than all the other girls my age. I needed a change.

A girl I graduated with introduced me to the South Beach diet in 2005. She had lost about 30 lbs. on it. I saw it work so I decided to try it for myself. I did give up when I reached around 145, but I tried again a year later. It took about 3 months to get from almost 150 to 122. Not bad.

This time, I'm a grown woman, still young, but in my mid 20's. The weight I gained went to different places. I feel like I look thinner than I did when I was in high school, but I weight about the same.
                                                         
                                                            
It's time to get started! Today is my official first day on phase 1! Later on, I will explain what the diet is, take pictures and document what I eat and drink, and just fill you in on it all.
